Terms of Use
Please read these terms carefully before using Round The Table. By creating an account, submitting an RSVP, or listing events on this platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Who We Are
Round The Table is a UK business networking event directory operated by Digivide Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House number: 17113720).
Contact us at enquiries@digivide.co.uk.
2. What Round The Table Is
Round The Table is a directory. We list business networking events submitted by verified hosts. We are not an event organiser, venue, ticketing agent, or promoter. We do not take bookings, collect attendee payments, or manage guest access on behalf of hosts — if an event has a ticket price, that money goes to the host directly and never passes through us.
The one payment we do take is from hosts, for their own listings: two event posts every calendar month are free, and posts beyond that are £5.00 each. Those payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout pages, and appear on your statement as ROUNDTHETABLE. Attendees are never charged for anything.
RSVPs made through Round The Table are a declaration of intent to attend. They are not a contract between you and the host, and they are not a ticket or guarantee of entry. The relationship for any event — including payment, access, cancellation, and conduct — is between you and the host directly.
3. Your Account
To RSVP to events, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, are used fraudulently, or are used to submit false RSVPs.
4. RSVPs and Cancellations
When you RSVP to an event, your name is added to the host’s guest list. Please cancel your RSVP through your account if you can no longer attend. Repeated no-shows may result in your account being restricted.
Round The Table does not control event capacity, venue access, or host decisions about attendance. If an event is cancelled or changed by the host, that is a matter between you and the host.
5. Host Terms
If you list events on Round The Table as a host, you additionally agree to the following.
5.1 Accuracy
All event information you list — including date, time, venue, price, and description — must be accurate and kept up to date. Deliberately misleading listings may result in immediate removal and account suspension.
5.2 Your responsibility for events
You are solely responsible for the events you list. This includes compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (health and safety, venue licensing, data protection in your own attendee communications), the conduct of the event, and any payments you collect from attendees directly.
5.3 Prohibited listings
You must not list events that:
- Are fictitious, cancelled without updating the listing, or misleading in any material way
- Involve unlawful activity
- Discriminate unlawfully against attendees
- Are operated primarily to harvest personal data
- Promote multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or similar
5.4 Verification
All host applications are reviewed manually by Digivide before being approved. We reserve the right to decline any application without giving a reason, and to remove any listing at any time that we believe breaches these terms or brings the platform into disrepute.
5.5 Contact lists you upload
If you upload a contact list so that your existing members can be invited to join Round The Table, you confirm all of the following:
- The people on that list are genuinely your group’s members, attendees or enquirers — not a purchased, scraped or borrowed list
- You collected their details yourself, lawfully, and you are entitled to share them with us for this purpose
- You have told them, or they would reasonably expect, that their details may be used to tell them about your events
- Nobody on the list has asked you to stop contacting them
You remain the controller of your own list. For the invitations we send, Digivide Limited is the controller, because the message comes from us and we decide what it says.
What we do with it. We send one invitation and at most one reminder, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. We never sell your list, never pass it to another host, and never use it to promote anything but Round The Table. Anyone who unsubscribes is suppressed permanently across the whole platform — including against any future upload by you or anyone else.
If the confirmations above are not true, do not upload the list. We may pause or withdraw sending on your account if a list produces a high rate of bounces or complaints, and we will tell you why.
If a list turns out not to be lawfully held. You agree to cover the reasonable costs we actually incur as a direct result — for example a claim brought by somebody on your list, or the cost of responding to a complaint about a message we sent on your behalf. This does not apply where the fault is ours, and it does not cover any penalty a regulator imposes on us directly, which remains our own responsibility. It applies to what you told us was true and was not.
6. Advertising and Areas
6.1 Advertising is for businesses, not for hosts
Placements and area ownership are sold to businesses advertising their own products and services. They are not open to hosts, networking groups, or anyone acting on their behalf, for the purpose of promoting a group or its events.
The reason is fairness. Every host is listed on the same terms, and a host who could buy a placement would be buying visibility over the others. That is the one thing we will not sell.
We may decline or withdraw any placement or area on this basis. Any advert we find promoting a host, a networking group, or an event listing will be removed, and where an advert is removed for this reason we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
6.2 Areas
An area is held on a rolling monthly basis. While it is held we will not sell that area to anyone else, and a national placement will not appear inside it. An area owner sets their own prices for placements within their area and keeps what they charge.
6.3 Content of adverts
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your own advert, including any claim it makes and any offer it carries. Adverts are marked as sponsored. We may decline or remove an advert that is misleading, unlawful, or unsuitable for a business audience.
7. Prohibited Conduct (All Users)
You must not use Round The Table to:
- Submit false RSVPs or information
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
- Scrape, copy, or republish listings without permission
- Interfere with the operation of the platform
- Harass or abuse other users or hosts
8. Intellectual Property
The Round The Table platform, design, and content produced by Digivide are our intellectual property. Event listings remain the intellectual property of the host who created them. By submitting a listing, you grant Digivide a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform and in associated marketing.
9. Limitation of Liability
Round The Table is a directory. We make no representations about the quality, safety, or suitability of any event listed. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
- We are not liable for anything that happens at, before, or after an event you attend through Round The Table
- We are not liable for a host cancelling, changing, or misrepresenting an event
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from use of the platform
- Our total liability in any circumstances is limited to £100
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continued use of Round The Table after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
