I just wanted to drop in and let you know that I haven’t completely disappeared. And that I’m not just off having too much fun without you. No, not at all. It’s been a strange time in my life, and it continues to get even stranger.
While summer has sidled in, and the backyard roses have been blooming, I’ve been sick. Really, really sick. And while I was really, really sick, we discovered some major problems with my body that are completely unrelated to the month-long virus I’ve suffered through. I haven’t had the words to write about it yet. I don’t even fully understand it. For now, let’s just say I’ve been off getting temporary purple tattoos at Stanford Hospital, and having very exciting medical adventures.
This Wednesday, I’ll be talking to a doctor I first met a couple of weeks ago in pre-op, and I’ll ask all my questions. I’m pretty certain he only knows some of the answers, and I’m going to have to be okay with that. When the words come to me, I promise to write them here, and you’ll know as much as I do.
